Bum-bum-bum Bo

I had no idea that my little baby boy was ready for the Bumbo until we saw his friend Alexis using hers! Since they are the same age, we figured he was probably ready for a little upright action.

As you can see, the Bumbo is good for several situations…

and getting a better grip on toys in order to shove into mouth.

We took a little video as well. It’s not that groundbreaking, but keep an eye on his feet, which never stop moving (seemingly of their own accord) the entire time…

Whistler ‘09

To continue the blog-post-clustering tradition we seem to do we must tell you about the trip to Whistler!

Smart ma and pa thought it would be a great idea to cap off Brian’s 6 week paternity leave with a trip to Whistler.  Uh, great in spirit but it turned out to be harder than we thought! Leaving Finn at home with Gigi on our last weekend before both of us go back to work…it was tough though of course he was in great hands!

BUT good thing we have such great friends to make the trip worth it!  Along with the Rosens, DJ & Ariane, Rich, and the Stantons we had a great time with some great friends several of whom also left smaller family members back at home.

Brian had a couple days on the mountain with some, and Cindy stayed back skipping riding this year in lieu of leisurely lunches in the village, books, and naps. Ah vacation is glorious.

And just had great time with great friends.  We heart Whistler.  And coming home to Finn was wonderful.

Brian messed with his camera and took some action videos.  Here are some of the blue runs the way BW saw them. :)

This week Brian’s sister Jennie and her daughter Rylie were in town!  Jennie had a conference in the area and though it would be fun to surprise Brian at his weekly Friday morning coffee date with his mom and dad.  This Friday was also a day that Grandma and Grandpa Dub took Finn for the whole day, so it was a day of grandkids in the Walker household.

Rylie lovin’ on Finn, Finn looking a little bewildered

Little Rylie, as you may have seen from her blog, is quite the adorable and precocious little one year old.  She also loves chocolate, which means she gets to stay in the family. :)

Welcome Alexis!

Our dear friends the Taylors, who have been on the road to parenthood for longer than Brian and I have been married, welcomed their daughter Alexis into all of our lives last Saturday.

In a fun act of fate, Alexis is only one week younger than Finn, and given that the Taylors are pretty much two of our favorite people in the world, they pretty much have no choice but to be best buds.

We stopped by this week to drop off some food to the well deserving parents, and meet the new addition.  Please pardon the pictures, Cindy was at the helm.

Adding a Video from shot day – before he really got unhappy from all them uglies getting pumped into his legs.

V-Day with Papa, Gigi, Aunt Roberta & Uncle Lou, plus fun with Jack and Mattie!

Valentines Day weekend brought Cindy’s parents (known as Papa and Gigi) to visit, along with Gigi’s sister Roberta and her husband Lou.  We could pretend that it was the stellar Seattle weather or our incredible company, but let’s be serious – they came to see the kid.

We mostly hung out and played with Finny at Latona…

and took a nice stroll around the Lake – although we all had to kick it into high gear to keep up with Papa at the wheel of the Mutsy!

That same weekend, the Mellons had their annual Wine Party, which meant a visit from Matt and Alysia and their daughter Mattie, who is just a month older than Finn and two months older than Bob & Abby’s baby Jack.  (see previous reunion)

We had a hard time getting everyone to face the camera at the same time, but boy those kids are cute!
